Can I submit my tax return if I don't have a HMRC login?
SA100 : Do I need my HMRC Gateway ID and password for filing tax return?
When submitting your tax return to HMRC you can choose to use your own HMRC Gateway ID and password to file your tax return or file using the GoSimpleTax credentials. It does not matter which option you choose, the tax return will be filed to HMRC in the same way and it will still take 3 days for HMRC to update your HMRC to show the successful submission.
If you do not have a Gateway ID and password we would recommend you register which is done direct with HMRC
HERE. Even if you do not need one now you will need one in the future as this will open up access to more HMRC services.
