SA800 : Partnership management details - Adding and amending partners on SA800


In order to add/amend partners on the partnership tax return, first press the 'Partnership detail' button:


Scroll down to the bottom of the partnership details page and then press 'Partnership management':


This will bring you to the page where you can add a partner.

Adding a partner to the partnership return
To add a partner to the return, first search their UTR - if there is an account found you will see a suggestion to Link:


Choose YES to link the partner to the partnership and complete the following highlighted boxes:

If this partner is the Nominated partner, ensure you answer YES to the last question. There must be a nominated partner in order to submit the partnership return to HMRC.

Ensure partnership salary is '0' unless an actual fixed profit share is paid.

Once completed the partner press 'INVITE':


The partner will then show on the partnership management page like so:



AMENDING PARTNER'S SHARE OR OTHER DETAILS
To amend, press EDIT next to the partner's name:


Amend the entries you wish to change and then press SAVE: 


This will then update the profit share percentage from 50 to 25 for this partner.
