SA101 Ai3 Box 10: How do I show that I want to have my spouse’s or civil partner’s surplus allowance?

To show that you want to have your spouse’s or civil partner’s surplus allowance, please follow the steps below:

  • Go into the Personal Details Page:


  1. Complete the Marital Status and Date of Marriage Boxes:


  1. Tick that you intend to make the claim and then enter your spouse/civil partner's name:

  1. Then enter the Date of Birth:

  1. Next come out of the Personal Details page and click SAVE and CONTINUE:


  1. Then click YES:

  1. Once you get to the ALMOST THERE page, scroll down until you see the questions below:
