SA103F Box 31: How do I populate Box 31 to show my total expenses?

Box 31 gets populated automatically based on your entries in boxes 17 to 30.

To show your business expenses, please follow the steps below:

  1. If you have not added the Self Employed page already, please click on + NEW PAGE on the left of the screen.


  1. Select Self Employment (SA103) from the list shown:

  1. Click on the + GROUP button in the Expenses section:



  1. Select the relevant category from the list shown. For example - 'Other allowable business expenses':


  1. Once that has been added, click on the + ADD button:



  1. Select the relevant category from the list shown i.e. Other Business Expenses:


  1. Enter the figure in the box shown below:
